Joaquim Adrià Pujol is a Los Angeles–based director and cinematographer whose work spans documentary, narrative film, and commercial storytelling. A graduate of the Brooks Institute of Film (Class of 2017), he is known for a visually distinctive style defined by emotional depth, atmospheric realism, and strong character-driven imagery.
As a cinematographer, Pujol has worked on major documentary projects including Kiss the Ground and its follow-up Common Ground, recipient of the 2023 Human/Nature Award, a prize established to amplify films that exemplify solution-oriented environmental storytelling. As a director, he made his debut feature documentary Màquina, an intimate portrait of a father and son confronting addiction and healing, which will premiere at the American Documentary and Animation Film Festival (AmDocs) in March 2026 and has also been selected by the Rewind International Film Festival.
Across his work, Pujol brings a poetic and immersive approach to storytelling that blends environmental themes, human narratives, and a strong visual sensibility.
